NettetHollow grinds are best used to remove a lot of material compared to other grinds, making a better slicer. A full hollow grind goes from the edge all the way up to the spine. The Black Widow Caper pictured above is almost a full hollow grind; you can see that a bit of the stock on the spine is still left unground.
